Chronological biography of late Professor Syed Hasan Askari highlights his illustrious life with respect to historical events, professional career & distinguished services, complimented by presidential awards & honors in addition to official recognition of his literary & scholarly achievements during his life and even after his death as listed below.

1901   Born to Syed Razi Hasan and Raziat Fatma on April 10th, 1901 in Khujwa, Saran District, Bihar, India.

1914   Demise of Syed Razi Hasan (Father) in Khujwa, Saran District, Bihar, India.

1916   Graduates with honors from Madarsa Islamiya Khujwa Middle School Siwan, Bihar, India.

1918   Secures 1st Division & District Junior Scholarship in the Matriculation Examination from Chapra Zila School, Bihar, India. 

1922   Receives Bachelor of Arts (Honors) & graduates from Greer Bhumihar Brahamin College (now Langhat Singh College), Muzaffarpur, India.

1924   Receives M.A in History from Patna University, Patna, India.

1925   Attains B.L. from Patna University, Patna, India.

1926   Marries Umme Salma daughter of Syed Raza Hussain and Sakina Fatima Hussain in 1926. (They had 4 daughters and 3 sons).

1926   Gets appointed as Master of History in the New College, later Patna College, Patna, India.

1927   Gets promoted to Lecturer of History in Patna College, Patna, India.

1930   Gets promoted to Assistant Professor of History in Patna College, Patna, India.

1936   Gets elected as Associate Member of the Indian Historical Records Commission (the apex body of Government of India on archival matters) and contributed research papers to the annual sessions of the Commission (1936-1956). Attends sessions of Indian History Congress and presented papers till 1958.

1938   Attends 15th meeting/session of Indian Historical Records Commission, Poona, India (December 16th/17th 1938).

Three papers were read/published in honor of Prof. Askari by late Prof. A. L. Srivastava, Department of History, Agra University and late Prof. Qeyamuddin Ahmad.
